According to the wisdom of Chinese Medicine, winter is the season of deep rest and surrender. In the dark days of wintertime, we turn our energy inward and learn how to work with the unknown. This can trigger discomfort and can also bring up deep fear and anxiety. If you can learn to ride the wave of your own discomfort, you can also uncover your own inner knowing. By being in sync with natural rhythms, we learn how to work with the challenges and opportunities of each season without struggling against them. This class features a guided meditation, a discussion about the energetic qualities and gifts of wintertime, and a 75-minute yoga practice to help you attune to this time of year.
Monica Fauble, Licensed Acupuncturist and yoga instructor, teaches alignment-based yoga.
