Local songwriters The Lunar Calendar, Bel, and Niqu join for three stripped-down sets of music. The Lunar Calendar is the project of Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Saher Kahn, who writes simple tell-all songs that reveal fractious embodiment, spiritual introspection, and the process of creating home. Self-described as “middle child indie rock,” Bel’s music is often performed as an alt-rock inspired full band, but her solo set highlights the sharp lyricism and dreamy, intricate composition of her songs. Closing out the night is Niqu, whose eclectic mix between intimate acoustic music and rock/RnB influences form vulnerable songs about mental health, self-recognition, and interpersonal relationships.
