About the show:

Yoga isn’t just fancy gymnastics for young white wealthy bendy ladies.

It’s a practice that can be accessible for all bodies, and benefit anyone.

The Image of Yoga is a series of images of Philadelphians who practice yoga that were created through a series of community photo sessions in 2015/2016.

Check out this vast panoramic installation and maybe check out a class at Studio 34 or any of our many other arts events while you’re at it!

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: Studio 34 is up one steep flight of stairs.

About the artist:

JJ Tiziou is an artist, massage therapist and block captain based in West Philly.

His ‘How Philly Moves’ mural at Philadelphia International Airport is the largest piece of public art in the city and was recognized as one of the nation’s best public art projects by Americans for the Arts.

JJ’s other largest project, Walk Around Philadelphia, literally embraces the entire city through a ~100 mile pedestrian pilgrimage that happens twice a year in February & September.

You’re invited to join any segment or partial segment of the next Walk, which will take place Sept 6-29.

About Philly Fringe:
