Yoga Nidra is a systematic, guided, lying down relaxation technique originating from the ancient ritual of Nyasa, where mantras are physically or mentally placed on the body. In Yoga Nidra we explore the hypnagogic state between waking and dreaming. Yoga Nidra incorporates breathing exercises, sankalpa, body scan, opposite practice and visualization techniques.
The benefits of Yoga Nidra are deep relaxation, healing, stress management and personal transformation. As a pratyahara practice (5th Limb of Yoga), Yoga Nidra acts as a gateway to accessing deeper states of meditation.
