Julia Naftulin believes that Pilates is for everyone. Her practice is about much more than looking good – it’s about feeling strong and healthy. Julia came to Pilates as a dancer looking for a way to manage her own chronic back pain. As a result, Julia’s perspective on Pilates focuses on the rehabilitative elements of Pilates, while also giving her students a great workout.
Julia has been teaching Pilates since 2003. She earned a Masters Degree in Movement Therapy from Drexel University in 2007. In addition, Julia is certified to teach Pelvic Floor Pilates, also known as Pfilates. Pfilates is ideal for women during pre-conception, pregnancy, and postpartum, as well as for anyone suffering from overactive bladder. Julia has received her pre and postnatal Pilates specialist certifications through the Center for Women’s Fitness, and is trained in the Center Method for Diastasis Recti Recovery. She’s taught at Studio 34 since the studio’s first days, and has loved watching Studio 34 evolve into what it is today.
