Fatima_Adamu_300pxFatima Adamu grew up in Nigeria, West Africa as an active child who ran track and played soccer. As a city planner and urban designer, she spent three years helping to beautify the central business district of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Center City District. She discovered yoga in 2002 and received her 200-hour yoga-teaching certification by studying with Ana Forrest in 2010. She currently teaches in Philadelphia at Studio 34 Yoga, the University of Pennsylvania, Centerpoint Pilates and with the non-profit Women in Transition (WIT), an organization serving women with a history of domestic violence and substance abuse.
