Yin is a passive style of yoga practiced close to the ground for 3-5 minutes each with the support of props. The intention is to pressurize the deeper tissues and access the subtle body. The body has an intricate system of pathways and vital points known as marma points which are infused with life force or prana. These points are located where veins, arteries, tendons, bones, or joints intersect and tenderness on these sites reveal where prana is not flowing. Neha will guide you through yin poses while also applying gentle touch or pressure with her palms on and around marma points. As a form of Ayurvedic bodywork, Marma Therapy gradually shifts states of stress or trauma into release and relief by encouraging the flow of prana and improving circulation. Join for 1 hour and 45 minutes of Yin Yoga & Marma Therapy. Neha teaches yoga at Studio 34 and is also an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant and Reiki Practitioner.
