In celebration of the opening of Play It By Ear, Natasha Vix‘s newest exhibition of abstract art, her dearest collaborators from Philadelphia’s free and creative music community are coming together for an evening of music making. Utilizing the three chambers of Studio 34, players, dancers, and audience members are invited to freely move from situation to situation as their hearts see fit. Natasha will be producing new works directly in response to the music. This is also a joyous occasion for Wind Music for Movement as it is their one year anniversary of meeting for sessions at Mascher Space Cooperative
Natasha Vix previously performed her painting at Studio 34 in a smaller event called Einstein’s Hat back in May, which was viewable for one night only. After this event on July 14, Natasha’s work will serve as a reflection of Play It By Ear up on the studio walls until mid-August.\
Note that Studio 34 is:
-
Up one flight of stairs
-
Mask-optional
-
A sober space
